Following an almost unending questioning of Facebook owner, Mark Zuckerberg, WhatsApp posted a new FAQ section aimed at mainly WhatsApp business users.
WhatsApp has reassured its users that their data and communications are secured with end-to-end encryption; nobody in between can read messages and listens to calls – not even WhatsApp itself.
The updated WhatsApp FAQ states that “All WhatsApp messages and calls are secured with end-to-end encryption. This ensures only you and the person you’re communicating with can read your messages or listen to your calls, and nobody in between, not even WhatsApp,â€
While the messages being delivered to businesses are end-to-end encrypted, it is worth noting here that WhatsApp doesn’t ensure the privacy of the communications that take place between businesses and users.
In other words, when you contact a business, there are chances that your messages will be seen by several people in that business.
