TECNO Mobile, one of the largest smartphone manufacturers in Africa in terms of sales volume has started teasing its next smartphone in the Camon series. The Camon series is traditionally known to be the company’s camera-centric phone.
Back in January, TECNO released the Camon CM, the first device with an 18:9 display from the company and it was meant to act as a sample of what we should be expecting from the Hong Kong-based company. Coming up next from the company is the TECNO Camon X, the rightful successor to last year’s Camon CX. According to a leak, the TECNO Camon X is said to focus on photography, offering “unique and previously unheard-of camera features”.
Specs Of The TECNO Camon X
Apparently, the device will pack a 60MP super pixel zoom rear camera and a powerful dual-lens selfie camera. There’s no hint as to what these unheard-of camera features are, but there are mulls that the phone will feature water-cooling to keep the phone running smooth and cool as well as facial recognition. Other notable features to expect include, an 18:9 display, 6 or 8 gigz of RAM, 64 or 128GB of internal memory and Android Oreo out of the box
We also have information that the device will come in two variants, Camon X and Camon X Pro. We are not certain on what the differences will be between these two but we know the Pro variant will have the top-notch specs including more RAM and higher storage capacity, of course, this difference will also be reflected in the price.
The device is said to launch sometime in April and the international launch event will be held in Lagos, Nigeria.
