Virtually 99 out 100 people will tell you that they hate native popups while browsing the net. And this affects some sites revenue in a bit as it discourages visitors who finds it extremely annoying.

The era of native popups in browsers are long gone, but you still see in-page alerts on some sites just like the one below. Most of them are totally useless and usually violate the Better Ads Standards (possibly making site owner to lose revenue from Chrome users).

Though Firefox isn’t utterly blocking ads on some sites like Chrome is, its developers are working on dealing with these popups.

The feature is still in the planning phases, but Mozilla is asking users for any examples of sites with annoying pop-ups. Unlike uBlock Origin and other ad-blockers, which use a predefined blacklist that must constantly be updated, Mozilla wants to make Firefox automatically detect and dismiss the popups.
