Now, this is a battle for student’s wallet by Apple and Google. Apple is reportedly prepared to unveil a cheaper version of iPad aimed at educators and students at its upcoming Chicago event next week – March 27.
Apple’s latest focus on education and an imminent release of a lower-priced iPad for students is actually based on the motivation it received from the domination enjoyed by Google Chromebooks and Android tablets in the market.

The educational market worths around $17.7B internationally and Google commands a big chunk of it – 60% share.
At present, Apple’s cheapest iPad costs about €399 for a 32GB variant while something below $300 will get you one of the Chromebooks by Asus, Samsung or Acer.
Apple may also be working on a cheaper Mac, aimed at students but it will be announced later on. We can wait or what do you think about this latest development?
