Well, this is a good development from Microsoft but a bad news for people or even business still sticking to Windows XP and Windows Vista as Microsoft has discontinued supports for XP and Vista OS.

Apple will be introducing security changes come May 25 this year that stop computers running Windows XP and Vista PCs, and Apple TV 1st generation units from accessing the iTunes Store.

Apple said; “If you have a Windows XP or Vista PC, your computer is no longer supported by Microsoft and you’re not able to use the latest version of iTunes.”

However, this won’t stop Windows XP and Vista users from using the previous versions of iTunes without support from Apple.

Users on such platforms won’t be able to make new purchases from the iTunes Store or redownload previous purchases on their computer.

So, after May 25, if you fall in that category, you’ll need to move to Windows 7 or later for you to access the latest version of iTunes store.
