In a bid for Airtel Nigeria to offer better services to its customers, the management of the telecom operator had on Tuesday officially launched 4G LTE network in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital.

Ibadan, the Oyo state capital is the first city where the Airtel launched its 4G LTE network in the country for operational and business strategic reasons.

Speaking at the launching of the new service, the Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Airtel Nigeria, Mr. Segun Ogunsanya, said 4G LTE works faster than the earlier services, further saying that the company chose Ibadan as pioneer city to launch the new product because it remains city of many firsts not only in Nigeria but in Africa.

The Oyo state governor, Senator Abiola Ajimobi who was represented by the deputy governor, Chief Moses Alake-Adeyemo applauded Airtel Nigeria for picking out Oyo state as the first point of lauching the 4G LTE service in the country.
