Spotify records 70M paying subscribers

Despite its legal trouble, Spotify’s userbase appears to have no limit in terms of growth. The music platform, spotify updated its About page earlier today with more recent paying subscribers count which is 70 million. This development is of January 2018. This is almost half of all its active users – 140 million as of June 2017.

Spotify which is presently available in 61 markets and counting, has 30 million songs and has over 2 billion playlists which form a unique algorithm that offers relevant music to all the paying users.

The 70 million subscribers paying for Premium services get ad-free playback and the ability to listen offline up to 10,000 tracks in Extreme quality on different devices and platforms.

The latest milestone is definitely good news for the company that is heading to an IPO later this year.
