Amazon well known to be the biggest online retailer, and it’s
also known to be a company thriving to to be more significant, by launching different
product and one of them is a set of AI products.

The Amazon Web Services (AWS), subsidiary of the company has
introduced a $250 AI camera dubbed DeepLens, a new platform named SageMaker for
deploying machine learning and a new AI service for transcription and
translation, all aimed at developers and businesses.

The DeepLens camera sports pre-installed AI tools, including
object, image and character recognition. According to press release by AWS, it
can detect “cats, dogs, faces, everyday
objects, motions and even hot dogs”.

Some of the examples how the DeepLens would function is the camera
scanning and keeping track of inventory in a warehouse. The device is powered
by an Intel Atom chipset and has the ability to capture videos in 1080p
resolution. It also has Wi-Fi connectivity as well as USB, and microHDMI ports.
Amazon’s products Echo with Alexa are an example how well
AWS’ AI tools work. The new products are a statement that the company is
willing to take the step and make the everyday life even more AI-integrated.
