US will not be getting Nokia 8 – HMD

Despite all serious and strong hints that the United States
will be getting Nokia 8, however, HMD has now confirmed the sad news the device
won’t be entering the market. The Finnish company has made it clear that the
device won’t be launched in the US at all.

Rex Fryhover, head of sales of HMD US disclosed this in a
reply to a user query on email.

The reason given by the executive said, is that the phone is
not “properly banded” for the country. He actually gave some hope to
the Nokia fans in the US by saying they are developing a device portfolio with
the US market as their main focus.
