Nine Tips on how to effectively use Apple Music
Apple Music was revamped in 2016 in a bid to
streamline the app. Despite achieving great success in the redesign, you can still easily to lose your way while searching for specific tracks. After all, Apple
Music has over 40 million songs. Therefore, below are some tips to assist you in navigating through the Apple Music more effectively:

1. VIEW ALBUM OF SONG
BEING PLAYED
When you discover a new song in a playlist, check for the
artist and album info from the Now Playing panel. Tap on then and Apple Music
opens the album, so you can read its description and checkout its track list.
2. ADD TO LIBRARY VS
DOWNLOAD
By default, the + button adds songs to your library, but
does not download it for offline use. You can change this. If you prefer having
everything in your library available offline, simply go to Settings > Music
and toggle on Automatic Downloads.
3. CUSTOMIZE YOUR
LIBRARY VIEW
You can choose which headings are displayed at the top of
your library. Tap the Library tab and then tap on Edit to choose which items to
add or remove.
4. MASTER YOUR 3D TOUCH
If you have 3DTouch enabled on your phone, you could
accidentally stop your music while it is playing. If your 3D touch gesture does
not register properly, your song will just stop. Therefore, learn how to
properly use the 3D Touch gesture to add songs to Up Next.
5. PLAY NEXT VS PLAY
LATER
When you bring up the contextual menu of a song, you have to
know what the Play Next and Play Later options do. Play Next adds a song to the
top of your Up Next queue. Play Later adds songs to the bottom of the queue.
6. CREATE YOUR OWN RADIO
STATIONS
Apple Music can also play a mix of music based on an artist,
alum or song. For a song, all you need to do is tap Create Station. For albums,
the Create Station button lies behind the red triple-button icon to the right
of the artist’s name or album cover.
7. SCROLL DOWN FOR
SHUFFLE AND REPEAT
Before now, the Shuffle and Repeat icons were available on
the Now Playing panel. However, now you would have to scroll down a bit to see
them.
8. USE SEARCH FILTERS
FOR FASTER SEARCHES
When searching for a song or album, the Apple Music and Your
Library filters are important. Apple Music is the default option, but if you
have a good music library you can search for your song from Your Library
instead.
9. CHOOSE AN EQ PROFILE
TO MATCH YOUR TUNES

The built-in equalizer on iOS is a great way to get the best
out of your music. Go to Settings > Music > EQ and select from 23 EQ
profiles.
