Ever since Facebook took over WhatsApp, it has been one update or the other. However, some of those updates had never been significant ones in terms of adding unique features. It has mostly been based on stability and other related features.
The last feew weeks has witnessed tremenduos update from the Facebook owned company. The recent feature now in town is to allow WhatsApp handlers to share any file in any format, through the Android, iOS and desktop version of the app. A good news indeed.
Currently, the only limited figure of WhatsApp users on Android, iOS and Windows Phone platforms enjoys this new features because it’s still under experiment, conducted by the developer.
Presently, the latest features enables users to share a maximum file size of 100MB (Android), 128MB (iOS) or 64MB (desktop). So, if you’re lucky to be one those WhatsApp users that have the new option, it would be noticed that the sharing aspect appears to ve very slow at the moment, don’t give up. Pardon WhatsApp for the error, it is currently being tested.
Remember that WhatsApp users are already allowed to share PDF and Office documents, however with the latest addition of this feature, it will be nice but the downside would be the size.
