Photos: Speaker Dogara’s Pay Slip says he earns N300,000 per month

*The Speaker of the
House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, has publicly released his pay slips
for 6 months

*Started from October,
November, December 2016 and January, February, March 2017.

Yakubu Dogara had on Tuesday, April 11, 2017 released his
pay slips to the media for last six months, via his spokesman, Turaki Hissan.

The documents revealed the analysis of the Dogara’s salary
for October, November, December 2016 and January, February and March 2017.

Based on the details in the document, Dogara gets about ₦300,
000 with exclusion of taxes, according to The Cable.

Recall that the speaker on Friday April 7, in reaction to
calls by the Kaduna state Governor, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai revealed, that the
leadership of the National Assembly had instructed the bureaucracy and all
other agencies under the legislative arms to make public the details of their
annual financial statement starting from 2017 budget which is still under deliberation
in the assembly.

Also, Dogara had asked the governor, who he said is
“known for his consistent advocacy for openness in the budget of the National
Assembly”, to, in the spirit of good governance, transparency and
accountability spread his crusade to other arms and tiers of government in
local or state level.
