league holder became the first football team ever to score in 48 successive games
.
The record was until that yesterday held by a Portuguese
club, Benfica, that great feat of 47 consecutive goal scoring matches was achieved
between December 1963 and January 1965.

Recall that the last time Real Madrid failed to score a goal
was back in April 2017 in the first leg of their Champions’ League semi-final
against Manchester City of England at the Etihad.

Madrid now records 34 wins, 11 draws and just 3 defeats in
48 games since that encounter at Etihad Stadium.
