On Monday, March 13, 2017, a National Assembly Clerk, Mohammed Shuaibu, slumped and died at the National Assembly complex in Abuja.

Late Shuaibu who is from Zaria, Kaduna State allegedly slumped around 12.noon while walking on a staircase and was immediately rushed to the clinic within National Assembly premisis where he was later pronounced dead by the doctors.
His remains have been moved to Zaria, his hometown for burial.
Before his demise, He was the clerk of the House Committee on Agricultural Production and Services.
The Chairman of the committee on Agricultural Production and Services, Mohammed Tahir Monguno representing APC (from Borno), said the clerk returned to Abuja from Zaria on Sunday, in a bid to attend the meeting of the committee today but died few minutes to the meeting.
Monguno said Shuaibu was a hard working fellow and was posted to the committee about a year ago.
