Nkwelle-Ezunka community in Oyi local government of Anambra state are seriously in deep pain now after a gas plant explosion killed two people destroyed properties.

Reports said aside the two that lost their lives, two others have been hospitalised after the sustaining grave injuries.
The driver of the tanker that brought the gas was one of the two who lost their lives while the second person was young man who was reported to have just completed his National Youth Service Corps in Oyo State, Ezenwoke Nwigwe also died.while trying to put off the fire with a fire extinguisher.
An eye witness explained that the gas was being discharged from the tanker at the station when it exploded.
The security man at the station, Mr. Harrison Alphonsus and Mr. Tony Nwokonko confirmed that the young man died while trying to put out the fire.
They were pronounced dead at the Orthopedic Hospital in Enugu after being rushed there, according to the report.
The two others that were injured are still receiving medical treatment.
Chief Nnamdi Okafor who lost his two houses in the inferno appreciated the efforts of the firemen from the Okpoko Fire Service in Onitsha and said it was God that saved his life.
He said: “The fire incident has crippled me. Everything I have has been lost, but what pains me most is the loss of my two tenants.”
